Linguistic Mediation of Perceptual Adjustment in University Students

چکیده

Students from different areas of academic training (Psychology vs. Optometry) completed a task in which they had to locate "lost moving target" simulated forest on computer screen. The effects three independent variables were assessed: a) the type trajectory target (regular and irregular), b) time elapsed since loss visual contact with (delays 1, 4 6 seconds), c) administration / non verbal consequences for localization responses. Results indicated that accuracy responses was higher 1) regular trajectories, 2) shortest delays, 3) condition, 4) Optometry students. Findings are discussed terms parameters task. Contributions participants as linguistic scenario differential modes environment’s mediation learned.
